Chara, tango teacher at Tango Flow in Munich.

Chara

Chara started to dance at seven years old and grew up dancing ballet. In 2022, at 18, she discovered tango — the music and the dance. As a music education student and double bass player, music is a large part of her daily life. For her, the two most important qualities in a tango dancer are musicality — wanting to dance and understand form, phrasing, and fills — and the connection between two bodies, embracing and sharing the dance.

For Chara, active listening and awareness toward the music and the partner are far more important than complex figures.

Beyond her local scene, she regularly travels to marathons and festivals, enjoying the connection tango creates internationally. She also occasionally DJs, creating spaces for memorable tandas and an evening that flows naturally.
