Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I’ve never danced before. Is that a problem?
Not at all! Our Tango for Beginners course is designed for those with little or no experience. You only need motivation and a willingness to practice. Still unsure? Read this post > >
Do I need a partner?
No, you can register as a single. We rotate partners in class, as this helps with learning. If you already have a dance partner, that’s an advantage, but not required.
Will I need to switch partners in class?
Yes, we encourage partner rotation, as it helps develop better leading and following skills. However, if you prefer to stay with one partner, just let us know.
What to Bring & How to Dress
A good mood is always welcome!
There are no special clothing requirements. Just wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely.
Shoes for dancing
- You don’t need professional dance shoes right away. The most important thing is that your shoes are not too sticky on the wooden floor.
- Make sure you can pivot (turn on one foot) comfortably.
- If you don’t have suitable shoes, thick socks can also work in the beginning.
- If you’re considering buying tango shoes, check out our guide how to buy tango shoes>>.
High heels? Not necessary!
Ladies, you can start with flat shoes. If you choose to wear heels, make sure:
- They are securely attached to your foot (e.g., with a strap).
- The soles allow for pivoting and sliding.
