The Pop Up Milonga brings tango nights back to Amalienstraße 45 in Munich. We’re proud to open the floor again at El Duende – Estudio de Tango Argentino, the home of Tango Flow: a night of social dancing in the heart of Maxvorstadt, with great music, a warm floor and dancers from all over the city.

What is a milonga?

A milonga is a tango dance night. The music plays in sets of three or four songs (a tanda), separated by a short break (the cortina), when people change partners. You don’t need to come with a partner: invitations usually happen with a look and a nod (the cabeceo). Dance as much as you like, or just sit, listen and enjoy the atmosphere. New to milongas? Who comes to the Pop Up Milonga in Munich?

Everyone who dances tango, from Tango Flow students who have just finished their first course to experienced dancers from all over Munich and beyond. If you’re still a beginner, it’s a relaxed place to try your first milonga, with friendly faces from our classes on the floor.

Enter through the passageway at Amalienstraße 45 and continue to the second courtyard. The studio entrance is in the basement.
